Voicing can soften a too bright tone to create a sweet rich tone, or a darker tone. A tone that is dead dull, weak or muddy can be brightened with proper voicing.
Regulation of the many working mechanical parts of each key will make your piano a joy to play. Good regulation will allow the pianist to play with great expression when playing softly. Good regulation will make each key feel consistent.
